Data processed
Depending on the channel used, MIET may receive a name, company, role, email address, telephone number, country, service of interest, requirement stage and enquiry content. The server and hosting service may also generate limited technical security data such as date, IP address, user agent and hashed identifiers.
Purposes
Respond to enquiries and proposal requests; understand and assess a need; prepare, manage or follow up a pre-contractual, contractual or commercial relationship; preserve communication records; protect channel security and availability; prevent abuse or duplicate submissions; and meet legal obligations. Submitting a form does not automatically enrol a person in marketing communications.
Authorisation and nature of the information
The form requests express authorisation before submission. Mandatory fields are limited to information needed to process the request. MIET does not request sensitive data or data concerning children through these forms; do not include passwords, banking information or third-party data that you are not authorised to share.
Storage and retention
Form content is delivered to the gerencia@miet.com.co mailbox; the website does not maintain an additional database containing the submitted fields or message body. For security, rate limiting and idempotency, the server retains hashed identifiers and timestamps for a configured maximum of 48 hours. Mailbox communications are retained for as long as necessary for the relevant purpose, applicable duties and the defence of legal rights, and are then deleted or archived under controlled procedures.
Rights
Individuals may access, consult, update and correct their data; request evidence of authorisation; ask how their information has been used; obtain access free of charge; and, where applicable, request erasure or withdraw authorisation. They may also complain to the Colombian Superintendence of Industry and Commerce after first completing the enquiry or complaint process with MIET.
Enquiries and complaints
MIET Management receives requests at gerencia@miet.com.co. Include your name, contact details, a clear description of the request, information that allows MIET to locate the relevant data and any supporting documents. MIET may request proportionate identity verification. Under Colombian Law 1581 of 2012, enquiries are answered within ten (10) business days, extendable by five (5), and complete complaints within fifteen (15) business days, extendable by eight (8).
Providers and data circulation
MIET may use hosting, email and technical-support providers that process information needed to deliver those services under their security and confidentiality terms. Where an international transmission or transfer applies, MIET will handle it under the applicable rules and limit the information to the relevant purpose. MIET does not sell data received through these channels.
Security
MIET applies proportionate technical, human and administrative measures to reduce the risk of loss, alteration, misuse or unauthorised access. No digital channel is entirely infallible; if you identify an incident or submitted information in error, contact the privacy channel promptly.

Other jurisdictions will be assessed where their rules apply to a specific activity. The current version and its update date will remain available at this URL.
